Being that this blog is still in its baby stages, I figured that it would be best to just go ahead and lay some more foundation about who I am. I’ve already introduced myself here. With that being said, and because it is the year 2020, I thought it was fitting to share with you all 20 random facts about me.
If you would have asked me to do something like this a long time ago, I would not have known one thing to say. I have always been one who finds it a bit hard to share anything about me. Yet, since I have grown and matured over the years, I’ve come to know a lot about who I am. I’d love for you to know more about me too. Hey, we’re all new here, let’s get to know each other.

1. My name Erica means “Eternal Ruler”. Having learned that has become important to me for so many reasons. One being the fact that it has taken me a long time to be at peace with who I really am as a person.

2. I’m a natural-born introvert who’s become more extroverted in the past ten years than I’ve ever been in my life. However, I still love my space and privacy. And I can only do so much of what we introverts call “peopling”.

3. My favorite color is blue. Although I seriously think I’m being more drawn in the direction of pink lately. I don’t know why. ⠀
4. I love to write. I’m obsessed with journals. I penned my first poem in the seventh grade titled “Love”. Maybe I’ll share it with you one day. Would you like that?

5. As much as I love to write, I love to read. You’ll find me in the store at any book section. If not just look for the shoes and or purse sections.

6. Sing. I LOOVE to sing. I’m always singing. I’m never without a song in my heart or on my lips. Even when I’m hurting inside, I will be singing. Check out my singing voice here.⠀⠀

7. I had three dream jobs that I wanted to be growing up: Singer, Actress, and Teacher. This all changed when I decided I wanted to be a Licensed Cosmetologist instead. I am currently that.

8. Salad, spaghetti, shrimp, and chicken are my favorite foods. I can eat those every day of the week. ⠀

9. Clean and organized spaces give me great peace. There’s just something about the look and the feel of cleanliness. Do you agree?
10. I love flowers and plants. If I had it my way, the inside of my house would be a literal garden. Here’s a photo of one of my plant babies.

11. I love taking pictures. Sunsets and cloud pictures are my favorite to take. I’m a stickler for capturing beautiful moments.
12. My pet peeves are: (1)being ignored and (2)people who don’t put things back where they got them from (3)noisy eaters (4)poor customer service (5)people not being clear with what they mean. ⠀

13. I am not materialistic. I can take it or leave it when it comes to material things.

14. I love God and my family very much. Those relationships are my greatest gifts. ⠀

15. I love cats. I have a handsome boy named Toby.
16. I have a broken toe. It ended up that way one day when I was nineteen years old from being accidentally stepped on. It’s been slightly disfigured ever since. I am currently ten months away from being the big 4-0.

17. I love watching detective shows and mysteries. I’ve recently become a Hallmark Movies and Mysteries kind of girl. That Aurora Tea Gardens was something else.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

18. “Coming to America” is my favorite movie. To me, it’s one of Eddie Murphy’s best. And there’s just something about the end when the character Lisa (Shari Headley) ends up in that beautiful pink wedding dress.

19. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Anthony Evans, Jr. and Richard T. Jones. Let’s just say, both of these men are very good at what they do. They are also both Believers in God. It was a real privilege and pleasure.
⠀20. I hate taking pictures with my glasses on. When I was ten years old, my mom and siblings and I took a family photo. My eyes could not be seen in the photo because of the glare from the glasses. Ever since then, I’ve been taking them off.
