Health Matters

14492417_1781882772083668_5938188498306900639_n1Recently, I took the liberty and made the decision to take my health and fitness journey seriously. My whole life is a journey for sure. And as much as I hate to admit it, health and fitness are a part of it. It all leads to how I glorify God.

Friend…… Family, I want to glorify God in the best way that I can. My life and my body are not my own. This life that I live has more to do with God than it has to do with me. I’m a just a yielded, willing vessel in His mighty and powerful hands, seeking to know, serve, and love on Him in every way that I can.

The Word of God says that our bodies are the temples of the Living God. We are commanded to use them to bring God glory.

Don’t you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who comes from God and dwells inside of you? You do not own yourself. You have been purchased at a great price, so use your body to bring glory to God! ~1 Corinthians 9:19-20, TVT

I don’t know about you, but health and fitness for me have been one ride on a rollercoaster. Up and down. Up again and down again. I have tried every fad diet. Phentermine. Sensa. Six Weeks Body Makeover. You name it. But nothing has been successful. Somewhere along the line, those things were all wrong.

This time around, because I’m not getting any younger, I’m ready to get it right. I’m ready to be faithful, not just in loving God and others, but in every area of my life; all the way down to the food. I’m ready to be whole from the inside out. And I’m ready to be fit for this kingdom life that I have been called to.

You know what? I don’t think that I’m alone. I think that if you’ve come to this page, you are ready to finally get it right too. Right?  Together, we can be those women who become faithful, whole, and fit.

Faithful in loving God and others – Whole from the inside out – Fit for this kingdom life.”
